Other Ways Communities May Obtain State Accreditation
If the community Floodplain Administrator is a CFM, the eight-hour continuing education class is waived along with the $20.00 fee. The community should be receiving recognition of accreditation for having a CFM by the end of November.
If the community Floodplain Administrator attended the 2022 AFMA Fall Conference but is not a CFM, the community will receive recognition of accreditation by submitting the $ 20.00 fee and a copy of the 2022 AFMA Fall Conference attendance certificate.
Finally, if the community Floodplain Administrator plans to attend the 2023 AFMA Spring Workshop in Springdale but is not a CFM, attendance to this event will be accepted in lieu of one of the eight-hour courses. Registration for the 2023 Spring Workshop must take place through the AFMA website to include full payment to AFMA. The community must still provide the $ 20.00 fee and a copy of the 2023 AFMA Spring Workshop attendance certificate.
