We are in the process of wrapping-up the membership renewal campaign and I would like to offer many thanks to those of you that responded immediately and processed your renewal for 2008. If you still have yet to renew, please do so without delay, you don’t want to miss out on all that AFMA has to offer this year! |
Did you see all the photos from the 2007 fall conference in Eureka Springs? Without a doubt, this was one of our best conferences. We even have video of the Great Train Robbery that took place on our Monday night dinner excursion. Check it out! |
Meanwhile, the AFMA board has been working since late last year to develop a program for our annual spring workshop. The details are complete and I am officially announcing that registration is now open for this April 17-18 event. |
You will find this program to be very informative, especially if you are new to floodplain management. A copy of the spring workshop agenda is available here. We will also have a brief memorial for fellow CFM Dana Cherry who died in the Atkins tornado back in early February. |
And for those of you seeking to become a CFM, the exam for certification will be administered in the afternoon on the last day of the workshop. |
The city of Jacksonville will again play host to our event and you can find information about directions and accommodations on the registration page of our web site. |
We look forward to seeing you in April! As always, your comments and suggestions are welcome at any time. |
