NRD [formerly ANRC] is seeking to hire a Flood Mitigation Assistance Program Coordinator

The Flood Mitigation Assistance [FMA] Coordinator supports local community efforts to reduce or eliminate the risk of flood damage to buildings, manufactured homes, and other structures insurable under the National Flood Insurance Program. The FMA program, in partnership with FEMA and local communities, has identified and implemented a variety of projects throughout the State, including acquisition and demolition of flood prone structures for open green space, elevation of flood prone structures, hazard mitigation plans, and regional drainage projects.

Preferred qualifications for this position include knowledge and experience with the NFIP; the ability to qualify for and pass the CFM Exam; experience with FEMA mitigation assistance programs; and knowledge and experience with hazard mitigation planning.
