Arkansas Agriculture Department Natural Resources Division (AAD NRD) is holding a free-8 hour training course on Substantial Damage/Substantial Improvement (SD/SI).

Winds, Hail, Tornados, Earthquakes, Fire, and Floods are examples of damage which may occur in your community which may result in structural damage. Damage may include many structures or be limited to only one, but if the structures are located in the floodplain they must be assessed for Substantial Damage. Likewise, structures being remodeled or undergoing rehabilitation must be assessed for Substantial Improvement. Being proactive and prepared for these situations strengthens the community and makes it more resilient.

The SD/SI course will be held on Wednesday, April 17, 2024, in Jonesboro. You also have the opportunity to attend the 8-hour Accreditation Workshop on Tuesday, April 16, 2024. Once you submit the registration form, the information will go to Toni Brown, Training Coordinator at NRD. You will receive a confirmation for registration, with times and location of the classes. Hope to see you there!
